Renting Houses at "Calypso"

Financial Arrangements - subject to change. These rates are for "standard" saturday-saturday weeks (2 persons only; queensize beds in both houses), and there are no extra charges or taxes (but no cleaning, laundry after arrival except by arrangement). Non standard arrivals/departure may incur an extra charge, or may receive a discount. There is a supplement for extra persons (including children). Half is required to secure your reservation, the remaining half at least 1 month before departure. If you need to cancel, for any reason, we reimburse half immediately, the remainder if we succeed in renting for the cancelled period. Personal checks, money orders, wire transfers or PayPal acceptable. If we do not receive your second half payment in timely fashion, you may be required to bring it as cash with you (or make a PayPal payment). All prices subject to a 25% Christmas surcharge Dec 21 - jan 4.

Domestic Arrangements
You should take a taxi from the airport to "Calypso". There should be plenty of taxis at the airport. If your driver doesn't know "Calypso" (unlikely!) tell him that it is on the Banks Road (aka North Shore Drive) half way between N. Palmetto Point and Double Bay, about 1 mile beyond Unique Village Hotel. The house will be open when you arrive, with the keys on the table. From Jan-May Paul and Claire Adams are in residence in the pondfront house (well separated from the rental houses, which are also well separated from each other). We will stop by to welcome you -please give us an approximate arrival time, and flight schedule. Do not hesitate to alert us to any question, problem or request you may have during your stay. If you are without a car we may be able to do some shopping for you, or give occasional rides to town.
Most visitors rent a car (typically $50 a day inclusive). Stanton Cooper (332 1620) in Palmetto Point provides good service. Stanton has jeeps. If you stay significantly longer than 1 week we can arrange for fresh linen and towels, and house cleaning, for which there is a $50 charge. There is chest freezer in a utility building located next to WoodStar which you are welcome to use (Morningstar guests should not use the SeaStar driveway). . There is a laudromat in town.
Please let us know if you need any additional services. Phone, internet and fax may be available at Woodstar, and we can supply a phone contact number for emergencies. Many cell phones work on the island, but this is not guaranteed; cell phones can be rented..
